Municipal Election

Special Correspondence of the Dubuque Times-Nashua, March 5th

Our corporation election was held yesterday, resulting in the election of Deacon Woodbridge, as Mayor. He ran on the bolter’s ticket, but received a heavy majority. The election passed off quietly. Not a single drunken man was seen in Iowa, and not a fight occurred to break the monotony of the day. It was decidedly dull.
