Lucille Lorenzen; Ex-County Resident
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Services were held here today for Mrs. Arthur (Lucille) Lorenzen, 59, of Scottsdale, formerly of Cherokee County. Mrs. Lorenzen died Thursday after a brief illness.

Lucille Florine was born June 6, 1921, in Cherokee. She was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include a son, Arthur C., Scottsdale; brothers, Robert Florine, Sutherland, and Thomas Florine, Moraga, Calif., and sisters, Dr. Charlotte Florine, Honolulu, Hawaii, Mrs. Herman (Gladys) Flint, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Daniel (Patricia) Pokorny, St. Louis, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Dec. 13, 1978, three brothers and two sisters. (Source: Cherokee Daily Times, Cherokee, IA, Mon., Mar. 2, 1981, pg. 2)

Lucile Lorenzen
Scottsdale – Lucile C. Lorenzen, 59, of Scottsdale, an Army Nurse in World War II, died Feb. 26, 1981 in Good Samaritan Hospital.

Mrs. Lorenzen was a past commander of the Disabled American Veterans and Arizona State Nursing Association. She was a member of the Los Arcos United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Arthur; two brothers and three sisters.
