DEATHS - Geneva Farlee, 76, Cherokee
Mrs. Earl (Geneva) Farlee, 76, Cherokee, died Tuesday, Oct 8, 1991 at Country Side Estates, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Church of Christ, Cherokee, with Rev. Hon Hensley officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Greenwood Funeral Home, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m. A family prayer service will be held Friday at 1:45 p.m. at the church.

She was born Dec. 14, 1914 in Burwell, Neb. to George and Goldie (Robbins) Erickson. On Aug 17, 1931 she married Earl Farlee in Spencer. They lived in Cherokee for many years where she worked for Sweezey’s Hamburger Shop, J.C. Penney’s, and as an aide at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital. They moved to California in 1958 and returned to Cherokee in October of 1974. She enjoyed sewing and many crafts.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Donna Smith of Red Oak, and Mrs. Jack (Dotty) D’Angelo of Mesa, Ariz.; one son, Gayle Farlee and his wife, Merry, of Cherokee; three brothers, Clarence Erickson and his wife, Iva of Elmore, Minn.; Don Erickson and his wife, Elberta, Terrill; John Erickson and his wife, Jean, of Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one daughter, Geraldine, in infancy.
