MRS. LEO SROCK DIES AT HANSKA

Former Miss Anna Marie Kamradt Succumbs To Apoplexy In Minnesota Town

Mrs. Leo Srock, of Hanska, Minn., died Saturday morning at 3:30 o’clock of apoplexy. She had been sick only 12 hours and was only 48 years old at the time of her death.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 at the Lutheran church at New Ulm. The Hanska Herald reports as follows:

Hanska, (Minn.) Herald: Another and death took place in this community last Saturday morning at 3:30 o’clock when Mrs. Leo Srock passed away quietly at her home in Linden. She was in good health until 4 o’clock on Friday afternoon when she had a stroke and death came the next morning from apoplexy although everything possible was done.

Funeral services were held at 1:15 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from the home and at the German Lutheran church in New Ulm and interment made at the City cemetery. Rev. Hennethal officiated.

Mrs. Srock, nee Anna Marie Kamradt, was born at Pommern, Germany, on June 27, 1880, and came to this country with her parents in 1888 settling at Marcus, Iowa, where she spent her childhood days and grew to womanhood. She was married to Leo Srock on September 29, 1903, at Marcus, where they were farming until they purchased their present farm in Linden some fifteen years ago, To this happy union four children were born, who are as follows; Eleanora, Mrs. Willard Evenson, Esther; who is a registered nurse, William and Leo jr. who are at home.

She leaves to mourn her death besides her husband, children and two grandchildren, her aged mother, Mrs. Henrietta Kamradt, who has been making her home with them and five brothers, Elon of Marcus, Iowa; Otto and Herman, of Merrill, Iowa; Paul of Winthrop, Minn.; and Rudolph Kamradt, of Akron, Iowa.

Five brothers and a son-in-law acted as pallbearers.

The Herald joins the community in extending sympathy to the mourning family in their hour of sorrow. Other relatives from a distance were: Mrs. Dan reimann, Mrs. Fred Nagel, of Primghar, Iowa; Mrs. Reimholt Patke, Mrs. Wm. Schucknecht, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hardies, Pipestone; and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Srock of Hollandale, Minn.
