Karen Immele, 25, former Cherokee resident, died suddenly Sunday July 22, 1990 near her home in St. Paul, Minn.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cherokee. Rev. James Smith and rev. Richard Ries will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cherokee. A scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee.

She was born December 9, 1964 in Cherokee, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Roger Immele. She attended Cherokee Schools, graduating with honors from Washington High School in 1983. She was currently employed by Lawson Association in Minneapolis, Minn. She had attended Lakewood Community College and the University of Minnesota.

Survivors include her mother, Marilyn Immele of Cherokee; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ed (Anne) Vakulskas of Minneapolis, Minn. and Kathleen, of St. Paul, Minn.; 3 brothers, Joe Immele and his wife Darla of Cherokee, Bruce Immele and his wife Barb of Louisville, Colo., and Michael Immele of Kearney, Neb.; 3 nieces, Jessica, Cassy and Leann; 1 nephew, Ryan and her grandmother, Mrs. Rose Immele, Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her father on March 10, 1987.
