Wealthy Farmer's Suicide.
Mason City, Feb. 6. W. A. Lichtenwater, a wealthy farmer of this county, committed suicide last night by hanging. Neighbors at 8 o’clock this morning found him dangling from a rope, in the loft of his barn. He was a stockholder in the City Bank of Nora Springs, which failed some weeks ago. Fearing that he would be financially ruined, he preferred to meet death in this way.
