She graduated from Mason City High School and then was in the dietary department at Good Shepherd Care Center. While there, she was introduced to her now husband Larry D. Gordon. They were united in marriage on August 17, 1970 in Albert Lea.

Shortly after their marriage, she worked for many years as a cashier and stocker at the Fareway Grocery Store. She also loved going to Lakota, Iowa, with her grandchildren! Some of her favorite places traveled were Canada, Texas and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed fishing and she enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. A special interest was tending the wild birds in her yard.

She was a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge and was also in a bowling league. She was a very giving person and she was always there for anyone who needed her. She will be sadly missed and cherished by all who loved her!
