Mary N. (Krause) Colling, 84, of Mason City, IA, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center–North Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Steve Hansen officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mary was born Oct. 21, 1931, in Mason City, the daughter of Nicholas E. and Sadie (Groom) Kaloplastos. She graduated from Mason City High School. Mary also attended Adult Education Classes through Mason City Junior College as well as numerous Hallmark Training Seminars.

On Nov. 6, 1948, Mary was united in marriage to William J. Krause in Mason City. Over the years, Mary worked at Stevenson’s, Bergo’s, Medical Arts Pharmacy, Key Card and Gift Shop, Plaza Pharmacy, UNISYS and Walmart retiring in 1996.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed holiday dinners and making leg of lamb at Easter. She also enjoyed reading, baking and making meals for her family and friends. Mary was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Mary is survived by 2 children: Judith Eldridge and husband Richard of Mason City, Gary Krause and wife Becky of Mason City, IA; 2 grandchildren: Keri Retterath and husband Bill of Mason City and Todd Eldridge and wife Amber of Mason City; 5 great-grandchildren: Carter Retterath, Austin Eldridge, Allison Eldridge, Megan Retterath, and Zoey Retterath; and special niece: Darlene Fenzlein of Michigan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William in 1960; 4 brothers: Emmanuel Kaloplastos, Jack Kaloplastos, Enoch Kaloplastos and Paul Hammand; and 2 sisters: Norma LaChance and Opal Livingston.
