M. Renee Curry, 69, of 700 14th St. S.E., Mason City, Iowa, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Mason City, Iowa with the Rev. Duane Miller officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, and then one hour before the service on Friday at the church. Inurnment will be later at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City. Family suggests memorials to M. Renee Curry Memorial Fund.

Renee was born April 17, 1943, in Estherville, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred and Violet (Jensen) Bergeson. She grew up in the Plover area and graduated from Havelock-Plover High School and then attended A.I.B., Des Moines.

Renee married Lauverne Stan Curry on June 25, 1966, in Mason City.

She worked as a paraprofessional at Roosevelt, Washington and Harding Schools in Mason City for over 25 years retiring in 2008.

Renee enjoyed working on the computer, doing cross word puzzles and watching the eagles on the Internet. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mason City.

Renee is survived by her husband Stan Curry, Mason City; two sons Michael (Emily) Curry and Matthew (Beth) Curry both of Mason City; five grandchildren Ethan Curry, Trevor Curry, Shane Curry, Kaisen Curry and Keira Mirelli; brother Ron (Maryl) Bergeson, Louisville, Colo.; nephew Charles Bergeson, Louisville and a special friend Marilyn Popinga, Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three-year-old daughter, Laurie Ann, 1971, and a nephew, Brad Bergeson.
