Ruth E. Conway, 89, of Mason City, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at Good Shepherd Health Center.

Memorial services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Kent Mechler, chaplain, Good Shepherd Health Center, officiating.

Upon her wishes her body was cremated and there will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Ruth Conway memorial fund in care of the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com .

Ruth Elaine Davis was born May 7, 1924, in Mason City, the daughter of Benjamin and Ida (Quintard) Davis. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1942.

On June 13, 1944, Ruth married Francis Morris in Mason City and to this union three children were born: David, Dennis and Diane.

She later married Frank A. Conway on June 10, 1989, in Mason City.

Ruth worked as an operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 29 years before her retirement in 1981.

Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards with past members of the telephone company and antiquing. She was a past member of First United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed.

Ruth is survived by two children: Dennis Morris and wife Deborah of Meridian, Idaho, and Diane Butler and husband James of Nora Springs; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; six stepchildren and many step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents first husband, Francis Morris; second husband, Frank Conway one son David Morris two brothers Donald and Leslie Davis; and three sisters Thelma EauClaire, Maxine Isaacson and Bernice Barron.
