Lura J. Cone, 78, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away peacefully at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, June 4, at Faith Baptist Church, 1807 South Kentucky, with the Rev. Miles Grismore officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Lura J. Cone memorial fund in care of the family.

Lura Janet Cone went to be home with her Lord on Sunday morning, June 2, 2013.

Lura was born July 18, 1934, in Shawnee, Okla., to Horace (Bill) Gardner and Opal (Smith) Williams. The family later moved to Indiana where she graduated from Warsaw High School. There she met Harold Cone and they were married on July 6, 1952.

Lura is a loving mother to six children: Vicki Cone, Lori Cone (deceased), Cindy Cone (Kerri), Rick Cone (Maria), Pat Hill (Robbin), and Terri Yarrow (David); Proud grandmother of Allia and Brianna Yarrow, Grace Cone and Sam and Chris Hill.

Lura is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Opal Williams, sisters, Patricia Williams, Peggy Elston, and brothers, Jerry and Johnny Williams.
