December 10, 1947 - September 30, 2017

Linda Sue Burns, 69, of Mason City, died Saturday September 30, 2017 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, with the Pastor Chuck Kelsey, First Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family in Linda's name. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com .

Linda was born December 10, 1947 the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Pollard) Drake in Mason City, Iowa. On February 1, 1980 Linda was united in marriage to John Burns at the First Church of the Nazarene in Mason City.

Linda was a regular at the roller rink in her younger years and as a result she met her husband John there. She was an avid country music fan and collector of CD's. During her quiet time Linda enjoyed crocheting and doing needle work. Linda was one of the original volunteers at North Iowa Community Action.

Those thankful for having shared in Linda's life include her husband, John; daughters, Tammi Burns, Heather Burns; step-father, Richard Clausen and family friend, David Martin.

Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and several aunts and uncles.
