Sandra “Sandi” Jo (Stickney) Boyd, 58, of Mason City, died surrounded by family on Monday, March 17, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa. Online condolences may be left at www.fullertonfh.com .

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with a one hour prior visitation on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Fullerton Funeral Home. The Rev. Corby Johnson of United Methodist Church in Hampton will be officiating.

Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Fullerton Funeral Home.

Sandi was born on Feb. 28, 1956, to Jess Jr. and Joanne (Young) Stickney in Mason City. She graduated Nora Springs High School in 1974. Sandi married her high school sweetheart, Charles Boyd. To this union two boys were born. Sandi and Charles later separated. Sandi spent most of her life living in the Mason City area. She was a homemaker for many years, taking care of her two boys and the household. Sandi knew how to keep a spotless home and also took very good care of her vehicles. For the past ten plus years Sandi has worked for Wal-Mart in various positions.

Sandi enjoyed collecting anything Coca Cola and doing crafts. She also loved NASCAR and went to several NASCAR races. Sandi loved her truck she drove. More than anything, Sandi loved her children. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Sandi also had very close relationships with many friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two children, Andrew (Sara) Boyd of Arizona and Coty (Crystal) Boyd of Mason City; parents, Joanne (Roger) Nuehring; sisters, Patricia (Jim) Crider and Lisa (Kevin) Tumilson; brother, Gerald Stickney; grandchildren, Dylan Boyd, Andrew Boyd Jr., and Brooklyn Boyd; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jess Stickney Jr., granddaughter, Brianna Boyd; sister in infancy, Cheryl Stickney; brother, Michael Stickney; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Olive Gregory; and paternal grandparents Jess Sr. and Louise Stickney.
