Dale N. Boss, 53, of Clear Lake, died Wednesday (June 4, 2014) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday (June 7, 2014) at First Congregational Church, 205 W. 10th Ave. N., Clear Lake, with Pastor Denny Ganz officiating.

Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, where military honors will be provided by the Clear Lake V.F.W.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time on the service at the church on Saturday.

Dale's family would like to suggest that those attending the funeral service wear patriotic attire to reflect the great love that Dale had for his country.

Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Dale's name in care of Christina Olesen, 1208 E. Main Ave., Apt. 2, Clear Lake, IA 50428.

Dale Nehl Boss was born on Aug. 21, 1960, in New Hampton, the son of Donald and Florence (Nehl) Boss. He attended and graduated from Mason City High School.

Following high school Dale enlisted in the United States Army where he faithfully served his country from 1983 until 1991 where he obtained the rank of sergeant.

For the past 16 years Dale was employed at Graham Manufacturing in Mason City.

He was a devoted member of the V.F.W. Post No. 4868 of Clear Lake where he formerly served as the commander. In his free time he enjoyed golfing and had two holes-in-one in his golfing career, he also was a member of the 3 O'Clock Club, a devoted Iowa Hawkeye and Oakland Raider fan, and enjoyed spending time with all of his friends.

Those grateful in sharing in his life are his four children, Nicole Boss, Rachel Church, Scott Church, and Ashley Robbins; his parents, Don and Florence Boss; his two brothers, Mike Boss and Jim Boss; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Keely.
