Tuesday, November 22, 2016MASON CITY — Caleb J. Christensen, 37, of Mason City, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of sharing from 1 until 3 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave. Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of North Iowa or to Patriots for Pets in Caleb’s name.
Caleb was born October 6, 1979 the son of Keith and Diane (Bjornsen) Christensen in Mason City, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Mason City High School in the class of 1998. He loved traveling and playing hockey with the Mason City Mohawk Hockey teams during junior high and high school.
Caleb loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and working. He was employed by several employers in the North Iowa area over the years. He had the ability to make anyone he met a friend and would lend a hand to anyone that needed it. He had a great love of all the animals he cared for, especially his dogs Nikki and Shadow.
Caleb is survived by his daughter, Elexis Kay Ruehlow; mother, Diane Martin; father, Keith (Sue) Christensen; grandparents, Clarice Christensen, Jamie Bjornsen; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Christensen was preceded in death by his grandparents, John M. Christensen, Joseph Bjornsen; and an uncle, John E. Christensen.
