Wilbur Duane Peck, 80, Ventura, Iowa died Tuesday April 7, 2015 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 11:00a.m. Saturday April 11, 2015 at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, Iowa with Rev. Bernie Colorado officiating burial will in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00p.m. -7:00 p.m. at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, Iowa and then one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. Family suggests memorials to Wilbur Duane Peck memorial fund. The family would like to thank Hospice of North Iowa for the special care that was given to Duane.

Duane was born December 8, 1934 in Forest City, Iowa the son of William and Gertie (Nance) Peck. He attended school in Crystal Lake and was a member of class of 1952. While growing up and attending school he helped on the family farm. He later worked for various farmers.

Duane married Adeline Medaus May 1, 1954 in Crystal Lake, Iowa. They moved to Forest City, where he worked for Sahr Produce driving truck to pick up eggs. In 1973 he went to work for Winnebago Industries until he retired in 1997. They moved to Ventura, Iowa in 1983.

He enjoyed gardening and was known for his tomatoes, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and decorating his house with Christmas lights every year. He enjoyed traveling and visiting his relatives and especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren.

Duane is survived by his three children: Randy (Diane) Peck, Las Vegas, Nevada, Twila (Manuel) Herrera, Phoenix, Arizona, and Curtis (Toni Casperson) Peck, Clear Lake, Iowa; five grandchildren Ryan (McCall) Peck, LasVegas, Nevada, Shane (Ashley) Peck Mason City, Iowa, Nicole Formanek, Scottsdale, Arizona, Nathan Formanek, Clear Lake, Iowa, and Natalie Formanek, San Diego, California; four great-grandchildren Tabitha Peck, Anthony Peck, Austin Peck and Shawn Peck all of Mason City, Iowa; significant other Lu Rubio, Mason City, Iowa; two sisters Darlene (Darl) Schmidt, Garner, Iowa and Sharon Trask, Goose Creek, South Carolina and two brothers Donald Peck, Zearing, Iowa and Willard Peck Jr., Britt, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Gertie; wife Adeline; seven siblings infant brother Clyde Peck, Glen Peck, Evelyn Brower, Ethel Lewerke, Gladys Waldschmidt, Edna Tannahill, Violet Jorgenson.
