Marilyn T. Meinecke, 62, of Clear Lake, Iowa died Thursday Dec. 1, 2016 at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 6, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Clear Lake, Iowa with Rev. John Gossman officiating. Inurnment will be at a later time at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery, Forest City, Iowa.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, Iowa and then one hour before the service at the church. Scriptural wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Marilyn was born July 10, 1954 in Forest City, Iowa the daughter of Alvin and Mary (Jacobs) Meinecke.

She graduated from Forest City High School in 1972. She then attended and graduated from Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa with a degree in education. She taught and coached at Thompson and then at Forest City. She later worked at Winnebago Industries in customer service until her accident. She was known for her wonderful smile and her generosity in caring for others and giving in life and continued on by donating to Iowa Donor Network.

She enjoyed quilting, singing, dancing and being with people.

Marilyn married Bill Anderson in Forest City, Iowa in 1978.

While living in Forest City she was very active at the St. James Catholic Church and then when she moved to Clear Lake she became active at St. Patrick Catholic Church. She also was a member of North Iowa Quilters.

She is survived by her two brothers Don (Kathy) Meinecke, Forest City, Iowa and Doug Meinecke, Cedar Falls, Iowa; her companion Jeff Folkerts, Clear Lake, Iowa; sister -in- law Carol Meinecke, Cresco, Iowa and one niece Jennifer (George) Baker, and four nephews Christopher Meinecke, Jeff (Cathy) Meinecke, Steven (Karen) Meinecke and Joe Meinecke and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Mary Meinecke.
