Porters Given $100 Fines
Jail Sentences of 60 Days Suspended by Judge Beardmore

Fines of $100 each and 60 day suspended jail sentences were issued against Albert Saunders and John Rhem when they guilty to soliciting for the purposes of prostitution in district court here Friday.

Judge T. A. Beardmore warned the two hotel porters that the sentence was light because it was first offense in each case but if either made another misstep 60 day sentence would be waiting for them.

The sentence was recommended County Attorney Charles W. Barlow after the two had guilty to the information filed by him. They had been bound over to the grand jury from police court after their arrest last Saturday.
