LEE, JUSTICE

In Response To: Lee & Justice obits (Mary Anne Falk)

The Grave of George O. Lee is at Pioneer Grove Cemetery. He was married to Grissie Justice, who was the younger sister of my great grandmother, Eliza Justice. I have no obits for the Lees, or for the Justice family, either. George and Margaret Justice were my great, great grandparents. I discovered quite by accident that my great grandparents, Wesley Bunce and
Eliza Ann Justice White Bunce, lost an infant daughter, also buried at Pioneer Grove. I have the description of the cemetery as it was when the book was written, and it is graphic in describing the desolation and deplorable condition
of the graves and markers. (The Bunce listing in the book was misspelled, written as Bunge). I know that the son of George and Grissie Lee, named George J., age 10, was living with a widowed George Justice and daughter, Mary in the census of 1880. I haven't been able to trace his whereabouts after that. Grissie married Joseph Taylor and had two more children.
