OBITUARY
Larry Lee Curry, Sr. 73, of Rochester, Iowa, entered eternity on Monday, May 31, 2021 in his home as a result of an apparent heart attack. Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Rochester Cemetery with the Rev. Ronald Lashmit officiating. Larry was born on January 18, 1948 in Colby, Kansas. He was the son of Howard Emmet and Goldie Louise Tubbs Curry. Larry graduated from McDonald Rural High School in McDonald, Kansas and from Colby Community College with a psychology emphasis. Although Larry and Joanne Lovell were companions since 2007 it took Joanne a while before she said “yes” to Larry but eventually on January 21, 2017 Larry and Joanne were united in marriage in Cedar County, Iowa and together they made their home in Rochester. Larry worked for HWH as a laborer where he was the Lead Man in the nickel-plating department.

Larry is survived by his wife, Joanne of Rochester; children, Larry Lee (Cortney) Curry, Jr. of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Jeff (Toni) Curry of Tipton, Iowa, Julia (James) Hilbert of Durant, Iowa and Joni (Glen) Gregory of Cleburne, TX; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Goldie Curry; grandson, Mason Chance Abels; sister, Phyllis Ginn and his brother, Gene Curry.
