Funeral services for Mrs. Charles (Hilda) Garrison, 58, a former Tipton resident were held Jan. 26 at Western Springs, Ill. Burial was in LaGrange, Ill. Mrs. Garrison died Jan. 23 after an 8 month illness.

The daughter of Ernest and Alice Hobbs Rogers, she was born Oct. 17, 1907 at Tipton. She graduated from Tipton high school in 1925 and attended Iowa State college for 4 years.

She was a fourth grade teacher in the Edison school at Berwyn, Ill. at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Don, a navy pilot; a daughter, Virginia, a college student in Missouri; 2 brothers, Fred Rogers, Laramie, Wyo., and Alfred, Tipton and 2 sisters, Mrs. Eva Hajek, Iowa City and Mrs. Kenneth Madsen, West Branch.
