Funeral services for Mrs. Austin (Eva Mae) Mills, 77, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Jan. 25, with the Rev. Dean Swartzendruber and Peter Lapscheske officiating.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Crock Sr., Robert Maher, Richard Heideman, Folmer Jensen, Earl Anderson and Ralph Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Hobart Yoder were vocalists and Jerry Knapp accordionist. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Fankhauser were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Mills died Jan. 22 at her home in Tipton of a lingering illness.

The daughter of David and Elizabeth Whistler Stumbaugh, she was born in Morrison, Ill. Aug. 9, 1888. She was educated in the Whiteside county, Illinois and the Des Moines schools.

She was married to Austin Mills at Des Moines Nov. 28, 1906. She had been a resident of Tipton for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, David and Aural, Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. E. O. (Felma) Smith, De Bary, Fla., 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 4 sisters, 2 sons and a daughter.
