Ritchie P. Safley, a former resident of Tipton, died at Seattle, Wash. Sept. 11. Burial was in Seattle.

The son of Arthur and Margaret Safley he was born in Cedar county and was a frequent visitor in the Tipton area.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, 2 children, 3 sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Wilson, Solon; Mrs. Effie Milner, Des Moines and Louise Safley, Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Maurice, Muscatine.
