Last rites for Harry Walter Sissell, 64, were held Aug. 7 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Pallbearers were Garry Morgan, Vernon Lamp, Dewey Bishop, Robert and Richard Reynolds and Harry Morgan.

Mr. and Mrs. Luther Ailey were in charge of flowers and Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. Full military rites were held at the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Sissel was killed in a car-train accident at a crossing at Hale Aug. 4.

The son of Howard and Mary Argo Sissel, he was born in Tipton April 7, 1901 and attended the rural Tipton schools. He served in the U. S. Marines and took part in the Nicaragua Expeditionary force.

He farmed for many years in the Tipton community and had retired and was working as a carpenter in Central City where he moved 4 years ago after living in Cedar Rapids since 1955. He was moving to Hale at the time of his death.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Martin, Buckner, Mo.; Raymond, Tipton; 3 sisters, Mrs. N. O. French, Ruthven; Mrs. Lester Martin, Gouden, Colo., and Mrs. Guy Maurer, Tipton, and several nieces and nephews.
