Last rites for Henry David Tank 68, were held July 31 in the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Harold Gillaspie officiating. Pallbearers were Richard Moon Jr., Leonard Port, Clifford Krutsinger, Lawrence Kopecky, William Naber and Dean Handley.

Laura Geller was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Christenson and Mr. and Mrs. George Miller were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery, with military rites.

Mr. Tank died unexpectedly at Veterans hospital in Iowa City July 28.

The son of Christopher and Josephine Weber Tank, he was born April 15, 1897 in Cedar county and attended the Wilton Junction school. He was married to Mary Fell at Iowa City July 15, 1950.

A carpenter, he spent most of his life in the Tipton area.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Chris, Davenport; a daughter, Sandra, at home; a stepson, John Ford, Spring Valley, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Kathy Ford, at home; 2 sisters, Mrs. William (Minnie) Hagge, Sunbury and Mrs. Adolph (Dora) Hagge, Durant; 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
