Mrs. Olga Clausen was born in Frederickshaon, Denmark, April 16, 1879, where she grew to young womanhood. She was united in marriage to Hans Clausen on the 22d of January, 1902. The young couple emigrated to America, where they arrived in October 1903. For a few years they lived in Racine, Wis. They came here to West Branch where they lived as renters on different farms. From January till August 1914, they, with their children, Aage, Eva and Alice, visited their old home and relatives in Denmark. Since coming home, they have been living on farm 6 miles northeast of West Branch. Mrs. Clausen's health had been declining the last few years, when about a week ago she took the influenza and did not have strength-enough to battle the dread disease. She died Tuesday morning, Dec. 17.

Besides her husband and children, she leaves two brothers and a sister in this country, her father, mother and three brothers in Denmark, an uncle and a number of cousins in this neighborhood to mourn her early death.

The funeral services will be held at the grave, West Branch cemetery, Thursday (today) at 2 p.m.
