15 March 1904 - The Tipton Advertiser

After a two weeks heroic struggle for life, the conflict was over and the beautiful life of Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Flansburg went to the land where death is unknown. Through it all she was extremely conscious even to the final moment. She seemed rather to have given her life than to have had it wrested from her. When the final moment came she fully realized her situation and taking one last breath she said "there that is the last," and she was no longer here. Those who were with her in her sickness regarded hers as a remarkable case of self-control and those who have known her from her childhood say that it was characteristic of her every day life. About four years ago she was converted and united with the United Brethern church at Harmony Point and was one of the most beautiful examples of Christian life in the community.

She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Domer, she leaves a devoted husband and a three weeks' old daughter and an affectionate father and mother, four brothers and two sisters, besides a large circle of friends who loved her, all of whom will cherish with tender affection the memory of her pure life. She was born January 41, 1882, near Tipton and has lived all her life in or near the same community. On the 22nd day of October, 1902, she was united in marriage to Wilbur Flansburg and departed this life March 2, 1904. Not only her own home but also that of her parents is for the first time under the shadow of death. But the saddened ones will be comforted in the fact that severing of their tender ties is only for a brief time when they may all become members of the same family above.

The white casket, in which her body rests, is an appropriate emblem of her pure life and the words of God tells us the redeemed shall wear robes of white and shall carry palms in their hands, both typical of purity and victory.

The funeral was held at the M.E. church at Clarence, Rev. W. H. Doner conducting the services.
