W. W. Wright, son of David and Nancy Wright, was born near Plato, Cedar county, Iowa, Aug. 20, 1855 and passed away at his home in West Branch, Iowa, Sunday evening, April 24, 1929, aged 73 years, 7 months and 25 days.

He was a member of a family of 11 children, all having passed to the Great Beyond except two brothers and one sister.

Oct. 27, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Della Wisener of Tipton. To this union one daughter, Maud, was born.

They established their new home on a farm three miles from West Branch, where they lived until 1914, when they moved to West Branch where the remainder of his life was spent, with the exception of one winter spent in Washington, and two winters in California. Mr. Wright had a jovial nature and always looked on the bright side. He was a gentleman of the "Old School", believing everyone his neighbor, with whom he came in contact, and giving aid and comfort wherever worthy. His home was always open to all, and, with his free and genial disposition made everyone feel welcome. He will be greatly missed in his home town and in the community where he spent a long and useful life, but most of all will he be missed in his home, where he was a kind and considerate husband and a loving and most indulgent father.

He considered no task too long or too arduous if by it he could add comfort to his loved ones or lightened their burdens.

He leaves of his immediate family, his wife, his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Krouth, one sister, Mrs. Catherine Mulford, of Fort Rice, N. Dak., his brother, Orin, of Oelwein, Iowa, and his brother, Jesse, of Muscatine, Iowa.

Funeral services were held from his late home Wednesday afternoon with Rev. H. D. Green of the Methodist church in charge, and his body was laid to rest in the beautiful cemetery on the hill, just in view of his home.
