Etta Eliza Bard Tuttle passed away at her home near Atalissa on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 5:45 at the age of 52 years, 9 months and 21 days.

She was born in South Gibson, Pa. She was the second child of Mr. and Mrs. George Gard. She was united in marriage August 10, 1892 to Thomas J. Tuttle. To this union six children were born: Caral having died at the early age of 2 years, 9 mo.; Mrs. Oral Grings, of Wilton; Mrs. Hattie Duffe, of Moscow; George having died in July of 1927; Margaret and Hannah at home.

She grew to womanhood in the east and in 1902 they moved to Iowa and located in Cedar County.

She leaves to mourn her husband, four daughters, six grandchildren, one sister, two brothers and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday Feb. 23, 1928 at 12:30 at the house with a short prayer and 2 o'clock at the Reformed church at Wilton. Burial was made in the Oakdale cemetery at Wilton. The pall bearers were: Mr. W. B. Barkhurst, William Creps, John Crees, Ed Crees, Lester Conley and Andy Linn.
