DIED TOWNSEND--At the home of her parents in the south part of this County, on March 16th, 1887, Hattie B. Townsend, aged twenty-two years, three months and seven days.

Hattie Bell Townsend was born in Ottowa, La Salle county, Ill., Nov. 9th, 1864. She was a dutiful daughter and a true and affectionate friend, loved by all who knew her. She was in the fair bloom and vigor of life, and was to have been married soon. We laid her to rest in the Hanna cemetery. Funeral services by the Rev. J. B. Metcalf. Text, "What is your life?"
