Lewis Albin, oldest son of Joseph and Emily Albin, was born near West Branch, Iowa, November 9, 1864, and passed away at his home in West Branch, Iowa, February 3, 1927, aged 62 years, 2 months and 25 days.

His entire life was spent at West Branch where as a young man he became interested in the mercantile business, which he followed successfully, retiring from business six years ago.

He lived a clean, upright life and was interested in everything for the betterment of the community in which he lived.

Mr. Albin had not been in the best of health for the past few months, but the end came as a distinct shock to all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, July 12, 1907, and his father, June 26, 1924, and is survived by a sister Miss Ann Albin, with whom he made his home, and two brothers, Frank and Fred Albin, of West Branch, who mourn his demise.

The funeral services were conducted at the home on Sunday afternoon, February 6th, by his former pastor, Rev. W. H. Mitchell, assisted by Rev. W. C. Perdew. Six nephews acted as pall bearers. Interment was made in the West Branch cemetery.
