DIED At the home of his adopted daughter, Mrs. W. P. Heacock in West Branch, Ia., after an illness of only about one week's duration of paralysis, James Mitchell, aged 82 years, one month, and eleven days. Deceased was born at Neshannock Falls, Pennsylvania, Oct. 28th, 1816 was married to Margaret Jane Wood, Nov. 14th, 1838, who now survives him. They moved to Iowa in 1891, and have since resided in this vicinity. He united with the church in 1839, and has been a consistent member of the Presbyterian church in one of its branches for 58 years, and for many years he was a ruling elder in the church. His end was peace.

The funeral was conducted by his pastor Rev. Geo. H. Furniss, on Saturday at 2 p.m., at the residence where a large number of friends assembled.
