The death of Mrs. John Kelch occurred at the University hospital Monday night. Three times within as many weeks has our community been saddened by the grim messenger, Death.

Nellie Gorman was born in Cedar County, Iowa, Nov. 23, 1879 and departed this life April 24th, 1916. She was united in marriage with John Kelch, February 20th, 1901. To this union two sons were born. The elder of whom died in infancy. The younger, Clell survives with his father. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. E. Gorman, two sisters, Mrs. D. C. Meredith and Mrs. T. E. Fairall, all of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, C. E. Gorman of Carroll, Iowa and James Gorman of St. Louis, Mo.

She was faithful in all the relations of life, a dutiful daughter, a kind sister, a true wife and a loving mother. She was a member of the Women's Club of Centerdale and a member of the Eastern Star at West Branch.

Services were held at the home and interment in the Downey cemetery.
