Charles W. Craighead died at his home in Cedar Bluff, Saturday morning, May 2, after a lingering illness. He was near 75 years of age. In his early life he was a very active man, and in 1871 was associated with A. M. Russell in originating and editing the West Branch Index, now the Times, and in those days he was a useful man in many of the departments of life. He and his sister have resided together for many years at Cedar Bluff. During recent years he has been a collector of "old coins" and made considerable money at the business. The funeral took place Sunday at Cedar Bluff, and the interment was in the cemetery at that place.
