On Saturday, April 20th 1895 Mrs Rebecca Corwin, daughter of Leonard Reed, feel asleep in Jesus at her home near Cedar Falls, Ia. Deceased was born in Columbiana Co. Ohio, June 1834 and moved to Iowa with her parents in 1845, while Iowa was yet a territory settling near Pedee where she lived and grew to womanhood, midst the hardships of a pioneer's life. She united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church of that place, of which she was a faithful member until the master called her from work to reward. She married Lucius B Corwin March 15th, 1853, with her husband she moved to their home where she died. As the deceased was considered dangerously ill but a few hours, her death is a heavy blow to the family and friends. She leaves a husband and twelve children, nine sons and three daughters, all of whom were present at the funeral, also an aged sister and husband and nieces from Cedar county. The funeral services were conducted at home Sunday by the Pastor of her church.
