Funeral services for Norma O. Stoltenberg, 99, Tipton, were held Jan. 27, 1989 at the Trinity Lutheran church in Tipton, with the Rev. Donald Sondrol officiating. Carl Kaiser was the vocalist and Jan Penningroth was the organist. Pallbearers were George Straub, Claude Mitchell, Harold Wentzel, Marlin Howe, Mike Rekemeyer and Roger Morden. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Stoltenberg died Jan. 24 at the Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton following an extended illness.

The son of Wilbur and Catherine Pfarr Stobart, she was born March 11, 1889 in Chester, Ohio. She attended the Meigs County, Ohio schools and was a graduate of Syracuse Teachers college in Syracuse, Ohio.

She married Peter Stoltenberg in 1915 in Tipton. She was a homemaker and a retired country school teacher. She has resided in Tipton since 1912 and was a former member of the Phythian Sisters Lodge and the Lutheran Ladies Guild.

Mrs. Stoltenberg is survived by a son, Clarence "Jim", Tipton; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
