Rose Lea Lehmann was born in Cedar county, Iowa, June 27, 1861, and died Feb. 11, 1913, at Independence hospital, aged 51 years, 7 months and 15 days. She was married to James Nelson, April 4, 1883, and they located in West Branch. She was taken sick in a short time, from which affliction she has suffered the remainder of her life. She leaves an aged mother, Mrs. Charlotte Lehmann, of Iowa City; one sister, Mrs. Chas. Hunt of Kenniwick, Wash., and five brothers, Edward of Oneida, S.D., Henry of Magnolia, Minn., Thomas and John of West Branch, and Fred of West Liberty, Iowa, to mourn her loss. Father, three sisters and one brother preceded her to the Great Beyond. The funeral was held Thursday from the T. R. Lehmann home. Interment at Downey.
