DIED Thursday night, Feb. 22, 1894, Caroline Gillett, aged 56 years. She was the widow of Stephen Gillett of Cedar Bluffs, who died sitting in his chair, about two years ago, and it was her lot to pass away nearly as suddenly. She was visiting a daughter in Mechanicsville and on returning in the evening was attacked with a smothering spell and died before a physician could reach her. Her funeral was held Saturday. She was the daughter of James and Tacy Ward, and a sister of R. M. Ward of this city.
