Robert C. Heacock died at his home north of town last Sunday evening. Funeral services were held from the home yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. H. Wilson. Burial was made in the Honey Grove cemetery near his home.

Robinson C. Heacock was born in Stark county, Ohio, in 1848, and when but a lad came with his parents across country by wagon route to Iowa in 1855 settling in Cedar county in the Honey Grove neighborhood northeast of West Branch. In this immediate community he grew to manhood, married, reared a large family and has made his home for more than half a century.

In 1875 he was united in marriage to Miss Olive F. Heath and to this union were born thirteen children, seven girls and six boys, all but two of whom are still living. The eldest son, John, met with accidental death in 1898, and Mrs. Agnes Howe passed away Feb 2, 1921, the loving wife and mother preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 1912.

Robinson Heacock was a kind husband and father, a good neighbor and a man well liked in the entire community.

He had been in failing health the last year but was compelled to take his bed only a week ago last Saturday, suffering intensely but patiently under a complicated ailment and passed away at 4:30, Sunday evening, Dec. 11, 1921, aged 73 years, 6 months and 11 days. He is survived by three brothers, Ed of Sandiago, Calif., Jim of Kinglsey, Ia., and Will of West Branch, Iowa. Two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Ward and Mrs. Ella Han of Washington and eleven children, Mrs. C. A. Ohl of Iowa City, Iowa, Mrs. Frank Miller of Alburnette, Ia., Mrs. Carl Mills of Goldfield, Nevada, Frank and Clifford of West Branch, Iowa, Mrs. R. D. Freeman of Redtop, Minn., Harry of Mason City, Ia., Roscoe of Kasson, Minn., Mrs. George Wilson of Downey, Ia., Mrs. Geo. Berger of Oasis, Ia., and Clifton, now in the U.S. Navy, P.I.
