Miss Ella D. Mead, former West Liberty resident, died Tuesday at the home of her nephew, Lyle T. Mead, in Minneapolis. Miss Mead, who was 71 years of age, has been a teacher in the Minneapolis schools for more than 37 years. Her sister, Miss Mary, died a few weeks ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday and the body brought to Chariton for burial -- Index

Miss Ella Mead was teacher of the primary department in the West Branch schools for several years, when she was a young woman, and will be remembered by many of our readers.
