DIED At his residence in Linn township, Cedar Co., of hemorrhage of the bowels, JOHN HENNICKS, in the eighty-fifth year of his age.

The deceased was born in Chester county, Pennsylvania, Feb. 1789. He was united in marriage to Miss Treichler in Feb., 1824, with whom he lived over 49 years. They were blessed with nine children, two of whom preceded him to the Heavenly land; seven with an aged companion remain to mourn his loss. He was a member of the German Baptist Church for about 40 years, respected and loved by all who knew him, as a man of rare integrity. His remains were followed by a large concourse of relatives and friends and interred in the Clear Creek Cemetery, there to await the resurrection of the just. J. B. Gray
