Funeral services for Daniel L. “Moose” Storjohann, 68, Wilton, were held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at Bentley Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Reed Storjohann, Jay Dietz, Nick Noll, Kevin Conklin, Tom Schneckloth, Mike Franzen, Darin Storjohann and Steve Martens. Honorary pallbearers were Ron Storjohann, Dave Cross, Don Beck and Tim Mosier. Interment was in the Durant cemetery.
Mr. Storjohann died Feb. 8 at University hospitals in Iowa City.
The son of Albert and Helen Ehlers Storjohann, he was born Aug. 24, 1947 in Davenport. He graduated from Davenport Central high school in 1965 and obtained his journeyman carpentry license. He married Darla J. Franzen on June 13, 1981 in New Era.
Mr. Storjohann worked as a union carpenter through Carpenter’s Union Local No. 4, Davenport, for over 50 years.
He was a member of the Davenport Eagle’s Club, Izaak Walton League Muscatine Chapter and supported Duck’s Unlimited, Pheasant’s Forever and the NRA.
Mr. Storjohann enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors, riding on the JD Gator, playing cards and watching spring planting and fall harvest. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them.
He is survived by his wife and their children, David (Tina) Storjohann, Wilton; Ann Storjohann, Golden, Colo.; and Julie Brannen, Jodi (Jeff) Jones and Jamie Guerra, all of Muscatine;  10 grandchildren, Benjamin, Kelsey, Bailey, Gavin, Karrissa, Isaac, Griffen, Molly, Gwen and Greyson; a great-grandchild expected in August; two sisters, Janice Peters and Kathleen Conklin, both of Davenport; sisters-in-law, Ginny Storjohann, Centennial, Colo.; and Karen Franzen, Muscatine; a cousin he thought of as a brother, Ron Storjohann, Blue Grass; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Storjohann; his mother and father-in-law, Harold and Ruby Franzen; and a brother-in-law, Dellwyn Franzen.
A memorial has been established and will be donated to Mr. Storjohann’s favorite charities.
