CASUALTIES IN THE 26TH REGIMENT

The following is a list of the casualties in the 26th Infantry Regiment, during the recent battles and skirmishes in Georgia, under General Sherman:

KILLED:

Co. D.-Thomas Wilson

Co. E.-John Cruse

Co. H.-T. J. Leper

WOUNDED:

Adjutant Dennis G. Butterfield, left side slightly.

Sgt. Major E. F. Dietz, back severely, since died.

Co. A.-D. H. Swift, left hip, severely; M. G. Aldrich, arm, flesh; G. W. Wilson, back, severely; Jas. Shelmedine, leg.

Co. B.-J. B. Case, right thigh, seriously; T. Morey, hand.

Co. C.-Sgt. G. T. McClure, finger; Sgt. A. W. Miller, leg, slightly; J. C. Symonds, left hip, severely.

Co. E.-Corp. J. Neth, left thigh, seriously; Mayres Evers, abdomen, slightly; Peter Wiem, right high, flesh.

Co. F.-Sgt. S. Markland, ankle, slight.

Co. G.-Capt. Quinn, head, slightly.

Co. H.-Cat. W. H. Hall, right shoulder; Wm. Traver, finger.

Co. I,-J. Disney, arm, amputated; H. Hoskins, both hands.

Co. K.-Sgt. A. P. Watson, right thigh, slightly; Allen Renner, left knee, amputated.
