The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, January 3, 1890

A tame crow stole into Mr. W. G. Bevier’s home one day last week, and discovering Mrs. Beiver’s gold watch and diamond ring in an open case, was overcome by the natural penchant of his species for pretty things, and taking them in his beak flew away to a neighboring wood pile, where the valuables were afterwards recovered without having sustained any injury. – Tipton Conservative
