Rites Tuesday for Bernice Graham
The funeral service for Mrs. Bernice L. Graham, 77, wife of Alvah C. Graham, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Roland Funeral Home and the Rev. Chris Herring of the First United Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
Mrs. Graham died Saturday morning at the Atlantic Care Center. She was a resident of 709 Spruce before entering the center.
The daughter of Edward John and Mable Essie Rafter Weinrich, she was born Oct. 18, 1905, at Richards, Mo., and was reared at Culbertson, Mont. She then came to the Atlantic area and stayed with an aunt, graduating from the Atlantic High School in 1925. She was married to Alvah C. Graham Dec. 22, 1927, and worked for Dr. Earl Montgomery and the telephone company. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, the Daughters of the American REvolution and United Presbyterian Women groups.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Mary Louise) Murphy of Moravia and Mrs. Jack (Carol) Correll of Webster Groves, Mo.; six grandchildren, Pat Murphy of Bondurant, Michael Murphy of Centerville, Mrs. Gary (Pam) Messersmith of Centerville; Douglas, Carie and Christen Correll, all of Webster Groves, Mo.; three sisters, EllaMarilyn "Dolly" Smedley of Detroit, Mich., Alice Madsen of Culbertson, Mont., and Marian Cox of Manhattan, Mont.; two brothers, Alva Weinrich of Sacramento, Calif., and Charles Weinrich of Portland, Ore. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Morris and Kenneth Weinrich.
The family will meet relatives and friends at the Roland Funeral Home from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Monday.
