MEETING OF THE SURVIVORS OF 1812

A meeting of the soldiers of 1812 residing in Central Iowa, was held at Des Moines on the 16th inst., when the following preamble and resolutions were adopted:

The following are the manes of those who were in attendance:

Joshua Chapman, aged 82, Carlisle, Warren County

Richard Peel, 87, Des Moines Township, Dallas County

William Perry, 82, East Des Moines

William Buzick, 73, Carlisle, Warren County

William Forester, 78, Grove City, Cass County

Thomas Townsend, 70, Norwalk, Warren County

David Johnston, 79, Eddyville, Wapello County

Henry Dabney, 74, near Winterset, Madison County

George Ware, 82, blind, Polk County
