The following is taken from an unidentified volume extolling the business prowess of Chicago at the end of the 19th century (1890's):
"SQUIRE T. HARVEY & SON, 185 East Washington Street, Chicago; jobbers and dealers in fine old ryes and Kentucky whiskies, imported and California wines and brandies. This house was established in 1863, and has won for itself an enviable reputation for its uniform honorable dealings and the high grade of its goods. Among its popular brands are "Cologne Gin, No.7947," "Sherwood Pure Rye Malt Whiskey," "La Salle Club Bourbon," and "Belle of Anderson Co. Sour Mash."
The company used the brand names:
"Gibson's Ky. Bourbon", "Ingleside", and "La Salle Club."
