Hi - I am interested in finding out some more information concerning a Lory, William who died in May of 1877. I found an Obituary from the Fort Dodge - Webster Co Gazette News - dated June 08 1877 which states - Two weeks ago last Sunday lighting struck the stable of Mr Wm Lory - living a half of a mile from Pomeroy - killing Wm Lory instantly - setting the stable on fire burning the same to the ground. Seven head of cows were burned in the stable. Mr Lory was an Englishman - a well to do farmer and was about 35 years of age. There are some Lory's buried in the Union Cemetery that I am related to - but I havent been able to determine if this person is related to any of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
