Meikle children

I am looking for information on three children listed in the 1880 Lyman, Ford, Illinois census. On sheet number 336, Hugh Meikle is the father, Ema E Meikle is the mother. With them are Luela, 6, Minne, 4, and William, 2, all born in Illinois. The family is in Cedar, Calhoun, Iowa in the 1885 census and these three children are not listed. In the 1910 census, the mother says she has 12 children, 8 are living. I have evidence of the 8 who are living and Luela, Minne, and William are not there, so something happened to them between 1880 and 1885, either in Illinois or in Iowa. Can you help me find out what happened to them or refer me to someone who can? Thanks for any assistance you can give me. Harmon Hurren, Nampa, Idaho
