Elgin Echo, Thursday, 26 June 1902.

Otto Denning, 19 years old, committed suicide at Manson, Iowa, June 10, by taking about half an ounce of carbolic acid. He had just come in on a train from Fonda and instead of going to the home of his parents went to a hotel, secured a room, and there destroyed himself. He was despondent.
